Lucky Peak Lake

We headed out for a drive today with Krissy, Jason and the kids. We were headed up towards Idaho City and turned off onto to some small dirt road. It ended up being Luck Peak Lake and this dirt road followed all the way up around the lake. There was tons of snow but it is a well maintained road , so it was snowplowed. There were a few times I got alittle scared because the road as right along the edge in alot of places, but I'm a baby about that stuff. It was one of the most beautiful areas I have ever seen. Alot of the lake was frozen and as you can see in the first pic the reflection off the lake of the snow covered mountains was so amazing. We drove for miles and finally found a good spot to stop for lunch that we packed up before we left. Also the kids and big kids got to play in the snow . They had snow ball fights and did some sledding. Laney even loved to be outside. We just bundled her little butt up. She also loved the bumpy road we were on for so long. It kept her asleep forever.
